Glossary
MRR
MRR means monthly recurring revenue: the monthly revenue an app can repeat through subscriptions or other recurring purchase behavior.
Appdex example
On Appdex, an app showing an estimated $40k-$70k/month revenue band should be treated as a monthly revenue range before comparing it with category leaders.
How to read it
In Appdex, MRR is useful when reading an app page, a category hub, a direct comparison and a benchmark guide together. Do not read the term as a standalone score. Compare it with arpu, rpi, confidence band, monthly downloads, monthly revenue range, rating depth, category median and recent growth momentum before deciding whether an app is a leader, a niche opportunity or simply a large but weakly monetized product.
