Glossary
RPI
RPI means revenue per install: monthly revenue divided by monthly downloads for a directional monetization readout.
Appdex example
A niche Finance app can have higher RPI than a broad entertainment app even when the entertainment app has more total downloads.
How to read it
In Appdex, RPI is useful when reading an app page, a category hub, a direct comparison and a benchmark guide together. Do not read the term as a standalone score. Compare it with arpu, mrr, downloads to revenue ratio, monthly downloads, monthly revenue range, rating depth, category median and recent growth momentum before deciding whether an app is a leader, a niche opportunity or simply a large but weakly monetized product.
