Privacy Policy

Appdex ("Appdex", "we", "us") provides an iOS App Store intelligence tool at app-dex.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.

Data we collect

• Account data. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. We use these only to create and identify your account.
• Usage data. Items you create in the product — saved searches, tracked apps, tracked keywords, review monitors, favorites — stored against your account so the product works across sessions.
• Billing data. If you subscribe, payment is processed by our merchant-of-record (Polar). We never receive or store your full card details; we store only a subscription identifier and status.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) used to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To authenticate you, provide and maintain the product features you use, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

App Store data

Metrics, estimates, and rankings shown in the product are derived from publicly available App Store information and our own modelling. They are estimates, not the personal data of Appdex users.

Sub-processors

We share the minimum data necessary with service providers that operate the product on our behalf:

• Google — sign-in (authentication).
• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (United States region).
• Polar — payment processing and invoicing.
• Cloudflare / Hostinger — content delivery and server hosting.

Cookies

Appdex uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage only — there are no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share this data.

• Authentication. A session cookie (set by Supabase) keeps you signed in. Without it, the product cannot verify your account. This is essential and cannot be disabled while using the service.
• Preferences. Local storage remembers interface choices (such as filter state) on your device; it is never sent to third parties.
• First-party analytics. We record aggregate, first-party product events (e.g. page views, checkout started) to operate and improve Appdex. These stay within our own systems — no third-party analytics or ad networks are used.

Because we use only strictly necessary and first-party cookies, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive / GDPR. You can clear cookies and local storage anytime via your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

Retention & deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from your Account page; deletion removes your profile, saved items, and subscription records from our database.
